Students will learn to create a single-page folded zine, a half-page stapled and a stitched ‘zine. They will learn about the history of ‘zines and understand how it relates to modern publishing. They will explore self-expression and self-publishing. 

Ms. Teresa teaches art workshops to kids and adults of all ages at her local library, public elementary schools, and craft schools nationwide. She has taught zine workshops for pre-K, college students, and adult learners. 

Homework Offered
You can expect to spend up to one hour per week watching the videos, slideshows, and viewing resources. In addition, students should spend some time creating ‘zines of their own, which may take another half-hour to hour per week.

Assessments Offered
Students will receive peer-review in the classroom by posting photos of their work and discussing. The instructor will provide feedback on each project posted in the classroom as well.
