Children will have the opportunity to:

- write about a setting, a character, and story actions 
- talk about their writing
- talk about how this type of writing helps to create an effective authorial style  
- understand how they can finish their stories independently.

For over 15 years now, I have been working as a teacher in mainstream British primary schools (with children aged 4-11). In my role, I have worked with a range of children, from those with additional needs to children who have been classified as gifted and talented.

For 10 years, I have been the head of English at two different schools where I have had the responsibility for driving progress and achievement. My focus as a teacher and a leader has always been to help children reach academic excellence through exciting and innovative lessons.

Homework Offered
There will not be compulsory homework as the children will complete writing during the session, there will however be an optional homework set.
Assessments Offered
Children will be given immediate verbal feedback throughout the lesson and at the end of the lesson adults will receive a short summary of the learner strengths and areas for improvement.
