Students will learn how to recognize trends, analyze data, and use evidence to support a claim.
I played, reffed, and most recently coached basketball. I also taught Math (and science). Bringing in the writing piece will allow students to create an argument for their GOAT basketball player. I'll bring in stats over time, as well as current info. We can look at NCAA stats as we go. I like to have kids chatting about something we all enjoy, while weaving in the math and writing. By the end of the course, I hope my stats come out with me as the GOATT(last T for teacher).
