In this ongoing class, students will learn how to care for, treat and style their wavy or curly hair while developing their social skills with other curlies!

Class Experience

Students will learn about different curly hair types, how to style and care for their curly hair, and build confidence in their natural hair while developing social skills.
As someone who grew up with straight hair that developed into 2c/3a curls when I was 12/13, I have researched the topic of curly hair and how to care for it thoroughly. I also know what it's like to not know how to style your natural hair and not feel confident in your natural beauty, and it is my goal to help children feel amazing in their own skin. I also work at Sephora as a Beauty Advisor and am extremely knowledgable about different products and ingredients, and have worked as a freelance makeup artist doing hair and makeup for photoshoots, graduations, and weddings. I have worked in film as a makeup artist, and for roles that I have worn my own natural hair, I styled it myself as many hairstylists do not know how to style my naturally curly hair. You can see an example of my styling on the new Roku TV Series "The Holiday Shift", premiering November 17th.
