In this ongoing class, students will program a virtual robot to navigate through mazes using block programming.

US Grade 4 - 7

Intermediate Level

Students will learn how to program a virtual VEX robot to navigate through on-screen mazes using a programming interface based on Scratch. (Previous Scratch or block-programming code is helpful.)

The teacher will introduce the lesson, and then model it using screen sharing.  Students can work along as the teacher demonstrates and will be encouraged to screen share to ask for help and show their  progress. I am a Certified Robotics Instructor (VEX Robotics). I have taught VEX robotics programming since 2013 to students in public and private school settings and online since 2018.

https://vr.vex.com website. with teacher-provided class code (no account creation necessary). Maze designs are provided by Vex Robotics and some have ties to literature, mythology, and history.
