Students will learn how to program a virtual VEX robot to color in a holiday picture using a programming interface based on Scratch (no previous Scratch knowledge necessary). The teacher will introduce the lesson, and then model it using screen sharing. Students can work along as the teacher demonstrates and will be encouraged to screen share to ask for help and show their progress. Students will use the VR VEX website (vr.vex.com). Student will use a link provided with a class code. No account creation is required.
vr.vex.com website. Coloring pages are provided by Vex Robotics and include a mix of secular and religious holiday themes. We will be using the penguin drawing. Students can download others if they wish to make more robot art.
