Volleyball 101 (Basics)
In this 4-week course, learners will develop a basic understanding of the game of volleyball. We’ll discuss entry-level knowledge of the sport, and how a learner might be able to apply it to their extracurricular or recreational activities.
Class Experience
Beginner Level
This a lecture-style class with the majority of the class period open to questions and/or comments. Topics like serving, passing, setting, scoring, teams, and other relevant information will be discussed throughout the course. Video clips and pictures may be included in the lessons as guides, but will not be the center of attention for the class. No prior knowledge or understanding of course material is necessary. -learn what the objective of volleyball is -learn how many players are allowed to play -learn what each contact is called, and how many times a contact can occur -learn the different names for specific actions that occur in volleyball -develop personal skills in the game -develop the ability to recognize specific actions that occur in the game -HAVE FUN!!!
I play college volleyball and coach volleyball teams. I know quite a bit about this topic! I also have my Substitute Teacher certification and have worked with children for the majority of my adult life!
