Did you know that 65% of 2nd-4th graders in the US read below grade level? Learning to read can be frustrating. But it can also be fun. Childrens’ brains love to discover patterns. I love using phonics and word families when teaching children to read; they are fabulous for beginner readers as they build their confidence and let them see success quickly. The English language follows so many different patterns and rules that it is often confusing for our younger students to learn to read....

The words 'butt on chair' is used in the short storybook. I use Canva and google slides as teaching resources via screen share. Boom card will be used as a screen share. No login is required.
