Stitch This! Introduction to Hand Embroidery
Students will learn how to embroider a shape with the split stitch, fill it with the satin stitch, and decorate it with the lazy daisy.
Class Experience
Stitch This: Basics of Hand Embroidery is an interactive, beginner-friendly class where students will learn three basic hand embroidery stitches: the split stitch, satin stitch, and lazy daisy stitch. You will learn how to outline a shape with the split stitch, fill it with the satin stitch, and decorate it with the lazy daisy. We will learn how to load an embroidery hoop and secure it, thread a needle, the benefits of using a single strand versus a double, and how to tie off your work...
1. Students will learn how to load an embroidery hoop. 2. Students will learn how to complete three stitches, two one-step stitches and one multistep stitch.
