Speak Up' is a six-part series we have devised in response to the growing global youth voice. Are you inspired by young people like you who are speaking up for our planet!? Do you want to explore how you might use your knowledge and passion for the environment to help us all make positive changes for the planet!? Environmental education is a growing sector and this course seeks to engage young people in the big topics of today.

We use case studies, actionable ideas, creativity and discussion...

How to articulate knowledge and opinions. 
How to empower others. 
Knowledge of current environmental issues.
Creative outlets - various ways to create content.

I am a Geography teacher with 16 years experience of teaching environmental education. I left formal education 3 years ago to focus solely on environmental education. Planet and People's aim is to 'empower the next generation to create a better future for planet and people'. I have 3 years experience of delivering 'Speak Up' - 1500 learners have enjoyed this course so far. Feedback includes “It was lovely to see so much positivity poured into the children’s thinking about climate change!" and "10/10 - it was excellent quality with a great balance between hands on activity and learning and well-informed speakers who were excellent at inspiring."

We are committed to keeping our material POSITIVE and ACTION focused. We consider carefully how to deliver information about the climate and nature crisis in an age-appropriate way. Some children, understandably find this topic troubling. The course is designed to combat feelings of worry and to create feelings of agency and hope.
