In this class, Dr. Ruth and Cowboy Joe will assist the learner in public speaking skills with various scenarios, and discussions and have the learner share what topics interest them such as hobbies, books, or games.
Class Experience
Beginner Level
During this ongoing 1:1 class, students will practice public speaking skills and have fun discussing topics of interest they like. “Cowboy Joe” the friendly human-like puppet will assist Dr. Ruth in keeping the class fun and engaging. The puppet is not for babies as I am a puppeteer and even my older students love "Cowboy Joe." This ongoing course will help students engage, speak, and share their favorite toy, book, or movie for example. This is a great class for any child however, children...
The learner will gain experience in sharing ideas, conversing 1:1, and giving their input on various scenarios related to topics of interest and their likes.
NOTE: THIS CLASS IS NOT COUNSELING OR THERAPY BUT AN INFORMAL CONVERSATIONAL CLASS. Dr. Ruth is a teacher and licensed speech-language pathologist who has experience in instructing children from all walks of life and with neurodiverse behaviors e.g. autism, ASD, diverse social pragmatic language skills, stuttering, expressive and receptive language delays. She evaluates and performs speech therapy but only in the states that she is licensed in AND outside of the Outschool platform. This class has been approved by Outschool as an informal conversational class and is not to be construed as performing speech therapy or counseling services.
