In this 4 week course, students will learn how to analyze scripts from TV series, films, and plays, in order to understand the story and begin creating compelling characters.
Class Experience
During the class, we will read "sides" (a specifically selected scenes used in the audition process) from a TV series or film or a play, and begin breaking down the scene and analyzing the script according to the teachings of Ivanna Chubbuck, Uta Hagen, Amy Lyndon, and Larry Moss. We will work together to identify the given circumstances, and discuss how to make compelling choices that work for the actor and the character.
