In this one-time class, learners will practice test-taking and reading comprehension/analysis skills needed to boost their scores during the reading and writing portions of the SAT, ACT, AP, and other standardized multiple choice style tests. This class is structured specifically to help learners prepare for the multiple choice Reading and Writing portions of the SAT standardized test, but the skills practiced here can be applied to all other multiple-choice style exams, as well as to prepare...

Learners will develop their reading comprehension and SAT/ACT test-taking skills while interpreting both literature and scientific texts. Students will identify main ideas, define new and challenging vocabulary, and interpret meaning in written works. Students will answer multiple choice questions based on those readings and discuss with other students how they were able to solve each question.

I am a professional academic and creative writing editor. I have worked on college admissions boards vetting application essays, edited papers for graduate and post-graduate researchers, and have taught Bibliography and humanities research courses. I have tutored exam strategies to prepare high school and college level students for their certification and credentialing exams for over 10 years.
