To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 2x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.

Your child will be able to:
--learn and master research-based reading strategies, that they can use before, during and after reading to improve their reading skills.
-- be able to decode CVC words and identify beginning and ending blends as well as vowel teams.
-- practice activities that improves his or her reading fluency.

I am a reading specialist and have been training in administering reading assessments and analyzing results in order to write diagnostic lesson plans.
I hold an Education Specialist Degree in Literacy Leadership; a K-12 reading endorsement and a Special Education Certificate. I am working toward a Doctorate in Cross-Cultural Education.

Homework Offered
Learners can review their targeted sounds, blends or words. He or she can practice reading a poem for fluency practice. They may have a graphic organizer to complete.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will be assessed with a formal reading assessment, CORE Phonics Assessment; and running records, as well as inventories and interest surveys.
