🎢 Redstone Rails is a flexible schedule (asynchronous with no live meetings) Minecraft roller coaster course designed for aspiring young Minecraft engineers using Minecraft Bedrock or Education Edition! Learners will embark on an exciting journey to master the art of creating their own EPIC roller coaster project using Redstone circuits, the electrical power source in Minecraft, and early concepts of physics and engineering. I am Minecraft Education Edition certified and a highly experienced and actively certified educator with a Master of Science: Curriculum and Instruction VI degree and multiple active teaching certifications including School Library Media Technology Specialist (PreK-12th grade), English Language Arts multiple certifications across multiple grade ranges, and more. I homeschool my own young Minecrafter and am an avid Minecrafter myself. I continuously seek to be inclusive and empowering towards every learner in every class.

Homework Offered
Learners are invited, and not pressured, to create their own roller coaster creative build and post a description, image/s, or video of their project. I am responsive, inclusive, and empowering in my feedback. Learner's creations are celebrated and appreciated. 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

*There are no live meetings in this asynchronous Flex course. 
*Gamer tags are not required to be shared as we are not gaming together in a server/realm in this course. 
*Minecraft Bedrock or Education Edition gaming app/software is needed (and not provided) for this class. 
*Learners should be familiar with playing Minecraft on their own device. 
*Tutorials are created by me with YouTube links are embedded into the course. 
*A YouTube account is not required. 
*Some commands will be taught in this course. Commands will be shown visually and spelled out with intention. 
*Minecraft contains cartoon type violence without blood or gore.
