Class Experience

These are personalized lessons designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students. Students choose one instrument out of guitar, ukulele, or bass. No matter what level you're at, I can get you playing the music you like in any genre. 

Beginner
Students will learn the basics of their chosen instrument and how it works. Important aspects like technique and fundamentals of music such as rhythm, melody, and harmony are learned. Basic chords and scales will be introduced. Students...

This class is taught in English.

Students will gain the skills and logic to eventually be able to learn music at their own will and not rely on any instruction. Once at that level, the instructor guides them through the details, interpretations, and any other far advanced topic or technique in order to develop the student's artistry.

I have a Bachelors degree in Music from Texas A&M International University and a Certification in Guitar Craft from music conservatory, Musicians Institute. I have been teaching students since 2006 in music academies as well as privately. 
I have performed throughout parts of the United States and Mexico with a variety of different musical acts since 2004. I have also been a session musician both in studio and live settings since 2013.

Homework Offered
The homework assigned will be the new material presented in class. Student's are to practice that new material throughout the week. The beginning of the following lesson will be for checking the progress regarding their practice assignment. 
Depending on the subject at hand, written work may be assigned. 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Students will need their instrument of choice. This includes an amp and cable if the student is learning an electric instrument. 
Most written material will be provided by me unless a book is recommended in order to support the path a student may take.
A notebook and pencil is recommended for notes.

I will be using YouTube for us to listen to the music being learned. 
Any sheet music and related handouts provided will be written by me or sourced from my previous materials.
