Penguin Awareness Day, January 20th, is a time to celebrate and commemorate penguins, but unless we do something as a collective to help penguins thrive in the wild, there may be none left in the near future. The main focus of this class is to educate students on the penguins' situation, learn how climate change has affected them, and learn about the different species and where they live. For the board game, I will screen-share a digital board game I made in Canva where students can see the board and game pieces. The Blooket game will only be played at the end of class if we have time left over after the end of the board game. Blooket is an online game played with all students in the class. You do not have to have a Blooket account. All you need is the website (www.blooket.com) and a code that I will provide during class.
