Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1

Beginner Level

Love drawing drawing and love Sanrio? Want a class that is easy-going, flexible and focuses on art? Want to focus on drawing the adorable characters from the Sanrio world? Then this class is designed for you! 

In this ongoing course, students focus on how to draw Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi and more! Students will learn how to use simple shapes to create a more complex form. After completing their drawings, students are encouraged to add a background and/or color...

Students will learn the following art/drawing fundamentals: 
✅ Drawing
✅ Outlining
✅ Utilizing basic shapes to create a more complex form
✅ Coloring practice
✅ The confidence to use their learned skills for future projects

Mrs. Vallarta has been focusing on anime/art on Outschool since February 2018. As a personal avid anime enthusiast, she is familiar with many series, genres, characters and can teach how to execute any aspect of this. Mrs. Vallarta has her Bachelors in Fine Arts and has taught art for 18+ years. Five of those years has been online. 
Mrs. Vallarta offers over 50 different types of courses that include but not limited to; general anime, anatomy, art, drawing, watercoloring and more.

Homework Offered
Homework will be optional and highly beneficial. Students will be encouraged to create a background, outline and/or color their work. Homework outside of the classroom typically takes under an hour to complete. 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Assessments can be offered upon request. Please reach out and Mrs. V can work with your request.

💠 Pencil
💠 Pencil sharpener
💠 Pen (for outlining; Micron or ultra fine tip sharpie recommended)
💠 Eraser (vinyl recommended)
💠 Coloring materials (colored pencils, markers, colored pens, etc.)

This class is geared for younger students and is an art class. Please have an art station ready for younger learners.

We will be sketching characters from the Hello Kitty franchise.
