In this 3 week course, your student will be reading "Calendar Club: The Case of the New Year's Eve Nightmare" by Nancy Star. There will be discussion questions, fun activities, and a final project about the book.
Class Experience
US Grade 2
The student will be reading the book, "Calendar Club: The Case of the New Year's Eve Nightmare" by Nancy Star. There are 11 chapters and fun activities in the book. During week 3, the student presents their final project which represents their reading comprehension of the book. Lesson Plan: Week One Day 1: Intro to flex classes and provide information for final project Day 2: Read Chapter 1 and 2/Discussion Questions Day 3: Read Chapter 3 and 4/Discussion Questions Day 4: Work on final...
Students will be showing comprehension of their reading of the book by answering discussion questions. Students will expand their creativity as shown by their final project.

Students will need to be able to have access to their version of Minecraft if this is part of their final project. Students will need their own access to the book, "Calendar Club: The Case of the New Year's Eve Nightmare" by Nancy Star.

Parental guidance needed as screening of learner's Minecraft shares may be posted in classroom for final project. Student may be posting final project via screenshots which may be posted in classroom. Please ensure that the student is not providing too much information if they do topographical map to ensure their safety (see above in description of that possible final project).
