In this 6 week course, your student will be reading "National Park Mystery Series: Mystery in Great Sand Dunes National Park" by Aaron Johnson. There will be discussion questions and a final project about the book.
Class Experience
The student will be reading the book, "National Park Mystery Series: Mystery in Great Sand Dunes National Park" by Aaron Johnson. There are 28 chapters and author's notes in the book. During week 6, the student presents their final project which represents their reading comprehension of the book. Lesson Plan: Week 1: 1. Intro to class and flex classes 2. Discussion of possible final project options 3. Information about Great Sand Dunes National Park 4. Chapter 1 with discussion...
Students will be showing comprehension of their reading of the book by answering discussion questions. Students will expand their creativity as shown by their final project.

Students will need to be able to have access to their version of Minecraft if this is part of their final project. Students will need their own access to the book, "National Park Mystery Series: Mystery in Great Sand Dunes National Park" by Aaron Johnson.

Parental guidance needed as screening of learner's Minecraft shares may be posted in classroom for final project. Student may be posting final project via screenshots which may be posted in classroom. Please ensure that the student is not providing too much information if they do topographical map to ensure their safety (see above in description of that possible final project).
