This is a semester-long class that will continuously practice foundational reading skills that will benefit dyslexia students using a multisensory approach to learning.

In this class, I will focus on all of the foundational skills of reading that dyslexia students benefit from. This will include lots of repetition and multisensory learning. In each class, I will incorporate phonological awareness practice, review the sounds that we know, high frequency words, letter formation, spelling and reading words. The goal of this course is for students to fluently and confidently read and write words following many common spelling patterns.
I am certified to teach dyslexia and dysgraphia through the Reading by Design program. I have taught this program for two years along with teaching first grade.
