Knowing how to graph lines and understanding linear relationships is important for every student. Throughout this class we will learn to interpret graphs and data accurately, plot points, and use y = mx + b to explore the linear functions.
Class Experience
This 3-day camp will help students hone their skills in pattern recognition and understanding of linear relationships. We will go through many examples and gain a deeper understanding of graphing, data tables, and discover 'why' all this is important! After lots of graphing, we will then use algebra to find different points on a straight line. Familiarity with the y-intercept and slope will not be essential but may be covered if time allows. It is an online whiteboard where students can collaborate together and complete work as a class. We will also use Desmos.com which does not require an account. This online app will help us graph lines.
