Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4

In these ongoing weekly classes students will learn and memorize their multiplication facts (0-12). These lessons are all Minecraft themed! STUDENTS WILL NOT PLAY THE GAME MINECRAFT IN THIS CLASS. Students will use a Minecraft themed Kahoot activity I have created each week to practice their multiplication facts. In this class students will learn:

How to complete 1-digit multiplication equations
Memorize Multiplication Facts (0-12)
Practice Multiplication Facts (13 - 20)
Learn tricks to help memorize the multiplication facts (0-12)
            * 10 trick
            * 100 trick
            * 1000 trick

I have 12 years of experience teaching multiplication one-on-one and in group discussions.

There is no formal assessment for this class. Students progress will be assessed throughout the lesson by answering questions out loud individually or as a group. Students knowledge of their multiplication facts can be gauged through playing the Kahoot game in class.

1. Minecraft Multiplication Facts Table
        * This will be sent to enrolled parents and can be found in the Outschool classroom

2. Kahoot Scores Card
        * This will be sent to enrolled parents and can be found in the Outschool classroom

3. Second device to participate in Kahoot activity (tablet, iPad, phone)
        * A second device is NOT REQUIRED but HIGHLY suggested.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Kahoot

Students in this class will be using the website Kahoot. Kahoot will be used for students to be able to submit their answers to math questions in the lesson independently. Kahoot can be accessed using the link (https://kahoot.it/). No download is needed to use Kahoot in class and it is free. Kahoot is an approved third-party website/app by Outschool.

We will use the Kahoot website/app in class to practice answering multiplication questions. Kahoot is an approved website by Outschool.
