Class
Little Supers Academy: Fostering Kindergarten Readiness & Social Skills! Engaging blend of literacy, numeracy, and empathetic learning for Pre-K children preparing for school success.

Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
Learning Objectives:
	•	Develop pre-reading skills through alphabet recognition, phonics, and story engagement.
	•	Introduce basic numeracy concepts such as counting, shapes, and simple math.
	•	Enhance cognitive abilities through puzzles, problem-solving, and hands-on activities.
	•	Cultivate empathy, communication, teamwork, and emotional intelligence for positive peer interactions.
Homework Offered
For the Little Supers Academy: Type of Homework: • The homework assigned will complement the in-class learning, focusing on reinforcing concepts covered during sessions. • Homework may include fun activities such as practicing alphabet recognition, simple counting exercises, drawing shapes, or engaging in interactive online learning tools related to literacy and numeracy. Frequency of Assignments: • Homework will be assigned once a week, typically at the end of the session week (Thursdays) and to be completed by the following Monday. Checking for Correctness: • While the emphasis is on participation and practice, completed homework will be reviewed for effort and completion rather than stringent correctness. • Feedback will be provided to encourage and guide students, ensuring they understand the concepts rather than focusing solely on accuracy. Required Completion: • Homework assignments are encouraged but not mandatory. They are designed to reinforce learning and provide additional practice. However, they will not be required for all students. Students are encouraged to participate as it aligns with their individual learning pace and preferences.

Assessments Offered
In the Little Supers Academy, assessments are designed to gauge students’ progress and reinforce their learning journey, but they are approached in a non-intrusive and supportive manner suitable for their age group. Role of Assessments: • Assessments are low-pressure and aim to evaluate students’ understanding of covered material rather than induce stress. • They serve as a tool to track progress and identify areas where additional support or focus may be required. Types of Assessments and Frequency: • Informal assessments will be conducted periodically during class sessions through interactive activities, games, or brief exercises to gauge understanding. • They might involve tasks like identifying letters or shapes, participating in group discussions, or solving simple math problems. • Assessments will be integrated naturally into the class activities and will not be explicitly labeled as tests or quizzes. Assessment Format: • Assessments will primarily take place in class to create a supportive environment and minimize pressure on the young learners. • They will be designed to be enjoyable and engaging, aligning with the regular session activities. Requirement for All Students: • While encouraged, assessments will not be mandatory for all students. They are presented as part of the learning process and are designed to support rather than pressure the students.
Grades Offered
In the Little Supers Academy, the focus is on fostering a positive learning environment rather than assigning letter grades or certificates of completion. The goal is to encourage engagement, participation, and skill development in a stress-free atmosphere. Grading System: • There won’t be a traditional letter grading system or certificates of completion. • Emphasis is placed on the learning process itself rather than assigning formal grades. Assessment Approach: • Assessments are conducted to gauge understanding and progress, but they are approached informally to reduce pressure on the young learners. • Feedback provided focuses on areas of improvement and positive reinforcement rather than assigning grades. Recognition and Encouragement: • Instead of formal certificates, positive reinforcement and encouragement will be provided to students for their participation, effort, and progress. • Students will receive constructive feedback to support their learning journey and foster a positive attitude towards learning.
