I have taught language arts to learners in K-12 for over a decade in non-formal settings such as afterschool tutoring and weekend enrichment programs. In Hillsborough County, Florida, I was nominated at the SERVE Tutor of the year in 2012. I have also published poetry, magazine articles, and academic book chapters.
