Art Appreciation: Students will learn about the life, contributions, and artistic innovations of Leonardo da Vinci, understanding his impact on art and science during the Renaissance.

    Problem-Solving Skills: Students will engage in critical thinking and problem-solving by deciphering clues, answering questions, and solving puzzles to progress in the escape room-style challenge.

    STEAM Integration: Students will explore interdisciplinary connections by integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) concepts to create rescue tools for Santa using acquired knowledge and resources.

    Collaborative Learning: Foster teamwork and collaboration by working together with peers to strategize, share ideas, and collectively overcome challenges throughout the interactive learning experience.

I am an artist and photographer specializing in fine art, photography, and art education. In addition, I have been a homeschool educator for 20 years. I have taught children's art classes privately and through local after school  and children's museum programs. I also substitute teach for two local public schools in my area- grades K-12. My photography has appeared in Parents Magazine and numerous photography blogs. I enjoy finding connections between things that don't seem connected upon first glance.  To do that, I divide things down to their simplest parts and look for similarities. As a result I am able to break down seemingly complicated projects into simple step by step lessons. I also have a great appreciation for irony in art and life and try to infuse humor and silliness in my lessons and in my own work as well.
