In this class, students will gain confidence in writing sentences by learning word families, sight words, and building CVC/CVCe words. The importance of phonics in reading will also be highlighted. The clas is taught by a certified teacher.

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
Beginner Level
During this class, students will focus on strengthening their phonics skills. Some skills that will be taught are blending, understanding word families, reading simple and complex CVC and CVCe words, reading sight words in context, and simple sentence writing. At the start of each class, there will be a word-building exercise where students will create new words by changing either the beginning, middle, or ending sounds. For this exercise, students will use magnetic letters or a whiteboard....

Students will always need: Whiteboard Marker Eraser Pencil Optional, but very beneficial: -Magnetic Letters ($10-$24 on Amazon) *These will be used for each class.
