This one-time book discussion will meet to discuss the Newberry Award-Winning Book - The Family Under the Bridge by Natalie Savage Carlson. The discussion is instructor-led with detail and critical thinking style questions.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7

**Reading the book ahead of time is required. 

Reading is more fun when you can discuss the book with friends. I have been in a book club for over 25 years and have run book clubs for kids for just about as long. Fostering a love of reading with my students is my goal. 

During class, I will ask the students questions to incite the conversation. We will discuss the book allowing them to share their opinions and thoughts on the book. Throughout the class, students I will also engage students...

-listen to the opinions of others

Homework Offered
Reading the book prior to class is necessary. In order for parents to extend the class, I do send more discussion questions with answers after the class as well as a book review. 4+ hours per week outside of class
