Students will gain an understanding of the basics of organic chemistry.  This course is designed for students who intend to take an organic chemistry class at the college level so that they will have an understanding of the topics prior to enrolling in the course.  Organic chemistry can be very challenging and prior experience with some of the material can be very helpful.  

I have a B.S. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley.  I have taught and tutored Organic Chemistry to students at the high school and college level for over six years throughout my teaching career.  

Homework Offered
I will provide optional practice problems with answers to reinforce concepts for the class.  Students will have the option of assigned reading from the e-textbook which will be around 6-10 pages per week.  
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Optional tests with answers will be provided.  If students wish to earn a grade, they must take all three tests and complete a final project of their choosing, approved by the teacher.  
Grades Offered

I will provide weekly reading assignments from the e-textbook in PDF format.  A PDF of the periodic table will also be included for students to use or they may use their own.  Class lectures will be recorded and uploaded to a private YouTube channel.
