Ignite Your Imagination: Digital Storytelling (Ages 10-14)

In this 4 week course, students will be introduced to crafting digital narratives. Throughout the course, students will explore fundamental storytelling elements and gain practical skills in visual storytelling.

⭐Mastering Digital Storytelling Fundamentals: By the end of the course, students will demonstrate a solid understanding of digital storytelling concepts, including narrative structures, elements of a compelling story, and the effective integration of visuals. ⭐Proficient Use of Digital Storytelling Tools: Participants will be able to confidently plan, script, and produce their own digital stories, demonstrating proficiency in the application of these tools for creative expression. ⭐Enhanced Communication and Presentation Skills: Through the creation and presentation of their digital stories, students will develop and refine their communication skills, both written and visual. They will also gain experience in giving and receiving constructive feedback, fostering effective communication in the digital landscape.
Homework Offered
Each week, students will receive a step in their final story that they will need to complete. Week 1: Story Idea Week 2: Submit a Rough Draft Week 3: Submit Final Draft Week 4: Final Presentation2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
