I am a professional historian and researcher with specializations in cultural and music history, European history, and Classics. I have worked on college admissions boards vetting application essays, edited papers for graduate and post-graduate researchers, and have taught Bibliography and humanities research courses. I am a very thorough editor with an eye for correct grammar, tonal and colloquial accuracy (using the correct tone based on the writing task), and fact checking. I focus on teaching students how to effectively edit their own work rather than simply telling them what to change.
Homework Offered
There is no "required" homework for this class. I will provide "mystery sources" that learners can use to practice citations outside of class, but I will not collect homework and learners are not required to turn in their work. Learners will have access to an abbreviated style-guide worksheet which they can reference during and outside of class. Learners are ALWAYS welcome to message me their work to check for accuracy.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
