In this 2 week course, your student will watch three movies by Hayao Miyazaki-"From Up on Poppy Hill," "Castle in the Sky," and "Spirited Away." There will be discussion questions and games/activities with a final project.
Class Experience
The student will be watching three movies by Hayao Miyazaki-"From Up on Poppy Hill," "Castle in the Sky," and "Spirited Away." There will be discussion questions and games/activities with a final project. Throughout the class, fun games/activities will be provided and the student will complete in week two a final project that will summarize one of the three movies. Students will be showing comprehension of their watching of each movie by answering discussion questions. Students will expand their creativity as shown by their final project.

Students will need to be able to have access to their version of Minecraft if this is part of their final project. Students will need access to the movies, "From Up on Poppy Hill," "Castle in the Sky," and "Spirited Away," through a local public library or movie streaming service.

Parental guidance needed as screening of learner's Minecraft shares may be posted in classroom for final project. Student may be posting final project via screenshots which may be posted in classroom.
