Group Piano Lessons for Siblings

Let's learn the Piano! This class is a basic Piano class that will range from Beginning to Advanced levels. Each sibling will receive 30 minutes of 1:1 instruction from me at that student's current Piano Level.

Class Experience

Students will learn the basics of Piano playing that include these key elements:

-Proper hand and sitting positions
-Finger numbers
-Reading the staff in both the Treble and Bass Cleff
-Playing, Counting, and Reading simple to complex rhythms 
-Sight reading 
-Major and Minor Keys
-Learning Jazz, Contemporary, and Classical piano pieces
-Learning the students specific favorites from movies, musicals, or games
I have taught piano for over ten years to children, special needs children, teenagers, and adults. I graduated with a BA in Music and Piano Pedagogy. A copy of my Bachelors diploma is listed on my teaching profile.  I love teaching Piano! I am able to meet your student at their current level of learning. If your child is more advanced with Piano than this course, I will meet your student at their current Level and continue classes where they need to be. 
Homework Offered
Homework will consist of finishing the online games/quizzes as well as practicing the concepts learned in our lesson.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I do not give tests to students.
Grades Offered
Each student is required to have a physical copy of the music we are working on in class. If a PDF is not available, the link to purchasing the piano books will be provided.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parental Guidance is suggested for young students who may need help placing their hands on the correct key. 
We will be using the course material created by Carol Matz. This is an online library of Method Books, Games, and Quizzes. There are multiple levels to choose from. I will instruct the student to purchase a specific level after our first lesson when I have assessed where the student is comfortable playing.
