In this 6 week course, students will set weekly S.M.A.R.T. goals while dev a growth mindset.

Class Experience

Learning Goals:

1. SMART Goals Mastery:
   - Define and articulate specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals.
   - Learn effective strategies for breaking down long-term goals into manageable steps.
   - Develop a personalized SMART goal to apply immediately.

2. Growth Mindset Development:
   - Understand the concept of a growth mindset and its impact on personal and professional development.
   - Identify fixed mindset tendencies and learn techniques to shift towards a growth-oriented mindset.
   - Cultivate a positive attitude towards challenges and setbacks as opportunities for learning and growth.

3. Goal-Setting Skills:
   - Acquire practical skills for setting short-term and long-term goals aligned with personal aspirations.
   - Explore the importance of flexibility in goal setting and adjusting plans based on progress and changing circumstances.
   - Gain confidence in setting and pursuing goals that contribute to overall well-being and success.

By the end of the course, students will not only possess a deep understanding of SMART goals and growth mindset but will also have practical skills and tools to implement these concepts in their daily lives, fostering personal and professional growth.
Homework Offered
Their homework is to work on the specific goals (daily) that they set for themselves at the beginning of each week.
Assessments Offered
Students will actively engage in a self-assessment process every Friday, reflecting on their understanding of the week's concepts and their personal growth. The self-assessment will encourage students to evaluate their progress, identify challenges, and celebrate achievements. This informal assessment approach aims to foster self-awareness and a sense of responsibility for individual learning journeys.
Grades Offered
A notebook and their fav pen/pencil. They will need a 2nd device to play Kahoot OR the ability to switch between tabs to play on one device.
