Class Experience

Forest schooling brings together science, art, math, writing, and wellness in nature. A holistic approach to learning, children will receive instruction and hands-on self-led learning opportunities. This class is just one part of a three-part series designed to be taken in any order. 
This flex format allows learners to self-pace and parents who wish to work alongside their children can watch classes together.  Video lessons will post at the beginning of each week along with an assignment...

I am a licensed teacher, girl scout alumni, hiking enthusiast, and a mother. My teaching style is to give direction, and then watch children learn and grow on their own unique paths.

Student supplies: blank journal, clay (play dough or home-made), shoe box or cereal box, flashlight, ruler, microwave safe mug, old tupperware container, and other readily accessible supplies (scrap paper, pencils, etc.)

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:NASA

NASA will be used for some source information as well as simulations and projects posted to the classroom.
