Folktale Remix
In this course, students delve into the world of folktales and then creatively rewrite one to reflect their own cultural experiences. They connect with their heritage while exploring a universal theme and lesson of a traditional story.
Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Start: We'll kick off the session with a presentation about folktales, with an emphasis on “The Gingerbread Man.” Students will watch a short YouTube video of the story, identify its key elements, and examine a reimagined version. Middle: Students will then design their own versions of “The Gingerbread Man,” inspired by their culture and experiences, using Google Docs in Google Classroom.
