Welcome to Folklore vs. Fact! In this class, students will learn about some of the most famous, most unusual, and most puzzling myths, legends, and stories.  If your learner is into ghost stories, weird history, or ancient mysteries, then this is the class for them!

Each week, learners will examine the evidence both supporting and debunking these famous paranormal...

Students will use critical thinking skill to analyze evidence that both potentially supports and disproves popular folklore such as the existence of mythological creatures, unexplained paranormal and scientific phenomena, and more.

I am a professional historian and researcher with specializations in cultural history, European history, and antiquities. I have extensive experience researching both ancient and modern history and interpreting historical evidence to come to factual conclusions about weird and unusual historical events. I also have first-hand experience conducting sociological and ethnological research within living communities.

Some of the topics we discuss in this class involve evidence for or against existence of paranormal phenomena, cryptids and other mythological creatures, and mysterious events.
