If your child is musically inclined, they may have aspirations to make music their future career. While most know the traditional routes (i.e. performer, teacher, etc…) the reality is there are MANY career opportunities in the music industry! In this FLEX class, learners will examine 22 different careers within the music industry and learn about the role, responsibilities, education requirements and overall career outlook. Miss Suzanne is a licensed K-12 music teacher with a decade of teaching experience in public schools and as a private music teacher. Born into a musical family, Miss Suzanne has multiple family members who maintain different careers in the music industry. As a lifelong music lover, Miss Suzanne has extensively researched and explored different career aspects in the music industry and is excited to share them with her students!
Homework Offered
Weekly homework will be assigned in the form of reflection assignments, discussion questions and role-play scenarios. Learners will receive a pre-recorded video lesson on Mondays at 12 PM EST subsequent classwork and homework activities will be posted in the classroom throughout the week as a supplement and extension to the weekly lesson.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
There are no formal grades given for this class but parents can expect to receive two progress reports on their learner’s participation and progress in the course.Grades Offered

The multimedia elements have been utilized to provide background to learners... -YouTube Videos: Students will occasionally watch YouTube videos which are relevant to the lesson topic. Topics of videos may include interviews with people who are from a particular music industry or other clips that provide a glimpse into a particular music career.
