In this course students will learn all about animals such as animal welfare, the roles of animals in society, animal nutrition, and pet first aid.

Class Experience

Students will improve their knowledge of animals including animal welfare, the roles of animals in society, animal nutrition, and pet first aid.

Students will also learn about a range of careers available in the small animal industry, including educational requirements and current salary ranges. This title helps students develop a deeper understanding of career opportunities, industry expectations, and knowledge and skills related to the care of small animals to prepare for entry-level positions in the industry or for more advanced studies in veterinary science.
My qualification include a Masters in Teaching from Longwood University, completion of small animal care coursework, living on a farm with animals, and volunteering at a local animal shelter. I have a strong background in both education and hands-on experience with animals.

Grades will be sent out once the class has been completed. There is a certification option for this class. If students choose to take the certification exam they will get both the certification and a class grade. If students choose to take the certification exam through YouScience they will not have to take my final exam. The certification exam is designed to equip students with industry-recognized certifications that enable them to validate skills to employers with Precision Exams. *More information about this exam in the description. Students who do not wish to get a certification and just want to take the class will take my final exam (with no certification) and will get only a class grade.
