Class Experience

In this 16-week course, the student will learn essential navigation skills to confidently navigate different environments. The class will be divided into the following weeks and topics:

Week 1: Introduction to navigation and maps
Week 2: Using a compass
Week 3: Identifying natural landmarks
Week 4: Identifying man-made landmarks
Week 5: Planning a route
Week 6: Following a route
Week 7: Basic survival skills in the outdoors
Week 8: Navigating in urban environments
Week 9: Navigating in rural...

Develop skills to plan and follow routes
Learn basic survival skills in the outdoors
Build confidence in navigating different environments

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Jonathan has extensive knowledge of navigational skills and outdoor survival techniques.

Homework Offered
Students will complete weekly projects that reinforce the skills learned in class. Homework assignments will take approximately 30-60 minutes to complete each week.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learner progress will be assessed through informal check-ins and feedback on weekly projects.

Access to a computer or tablet for viewing pre-recorded videos
