As an educator, I prioritize inclusive education and actively seek resources from respected anti-racist educators. I draw from organizations like the Center for Anti-Racist Education, Education with an Apron, National Education Association, American Historical Association Remote Teaching Resources, and EmbraceRace. Resources related to LGBTQIA and disabilities are also integrated, referencing organizations like the Trevor Project, Strong Family Alliance, and personal experiences.
As a survey course of countries around the world, information is gathered from country-specific sources from reputable organizations such as National Geographic, National Geographic Kids, UNESCO, OER Commons, OER Project, iCivics, facinghistory.org, Learning for Justice, Smithsonian Open Access, Digital Public Library of America, Google Arts and Culture, and Google Scholar. Materials are vetted by persons with lived experience in the countries discussed.
