Class Experience

As an instructor for this class, I bring a solid foundation in art with a Bachelor's degree from Ferrum College in Virginia. With over 15 years of teaching experience, my journey as an art educator has encompassed various settings, including guiding my own children through homeschooling. This unique combination of formal education and practical experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of artistic principles and effective teaching methods. My passion for art, coupled with years of hands-on instruction, positions me well to share the rich history and intricate artistry of Fabergé eggs with students in an engaging and accessible manner.

Moreover, if I had not chosen to become an art teacher, I would have pursued a career as a history teacher, as history is another of my great passions. This dual passion allows me to provide a holistic perspective, weaving together historical context and artistic expression to create a comprehensive and enriching learning experience for all participants. I am committed to fostering a creative and supportive environment, inspiring a love for both art and history in my students.
