Anger Management Strategies: Acquire age-appropriate calm strategies to effectively navigate and manage feelings of anger, empowering young learners to respond to challenging emotions constructively. 3. Self-Expression and Communication: Cultivate a safe and open environment for self-expression through interactive activities, allowing students to articulate and share what makes them feel angry, promoting effective communication and understanding among peers.
I am a licensed elementary educator with over 7 years of experience teaching all core subjects in K-2, including social emotional learning topics. I have my Master's in Curriculum & Instruction from The Ohio State University, focusing on creative learning methodologies. I held instructional coaching and mentor teacher positions at my previous school focusing on social emotional learning and literacy enhancement. I have a passion for helping students find success in and out of the classroom with emotional literacy!

I understand that families have varying comfort levels around certain subjects. Students will be exposed to emotional literacy vocabulary and make connections with book characters, building comprehension and emotional intelligence.
