ESL: Freestyle Conversations With Teacher Megan
In this course, we will practice conversations! The conversations will be family-friendly about a topic you are interested in and would like to share with Teacher Megan.
Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 6
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class, students will be encouraged to hold a conversation with Teacher Megan. The conversation will be chosen by the student to ensure that they are excited and engaged in the conversation. We can cover any family-friendly theme that the student expresses an interest in whether it's video games or Barbie dolls. I will listen and teach with patience and enthusiasm. I will always encourage the student to speak. If the student does not know what to say, we will figure it out together....
To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 5x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.Students will learn new phrases and vocabularly in English. They will learn pronunciation and the spelling of new phrases as well as how to incorporate them into their daily English usage.
I have been an online teacher since 2011, starting at Ashford University as an adjunct professor. I am a lifelong learner and know what it feels like to grapple with a new language. I want students to have a secure and safe place in which they can practice their English with me. Toys, stuffed animals, and the like are welcome in my class, and everyone is included.
Homework Offered
The students may be asked to prepare short sentences or stories about their conversation topics so the teacher can better assess their English level and to help the teacher come up with fun games related to the subject matter.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
After each class, the student will receive written feedback from the teacher detailing what they did well and mentioning any areas where they might need more work. The teacher will address these areas in the next lesson.Grades Offered
The students are encouraged to bring paper and a pencil or a pen, though it is not necessary since there will be notes in the text box for students to which students can refer.
