Another focus area is numeracy and helping students apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations, like science! I have experience working with students needing special attention, including but not limited to English Language Learners and students diagnosed with ADHD and autism.

Dear Parents and Guardians, The best way to prepare for this class is to help your child create a learning environment that is free of distractions. The learning space should include a desk and chair, and students should have a pencil and paper available for use during class. A notebook is best. We may use online platforms like nearpod. If so, a subscription to the software platform is not needed. Instead, a link will be shared so that your child can submit their response electronically. Nearpod is used to increase engagement in a fun manner. I look forward to working with your child(ren)! -Maria
