We will use a specialized Google search that only combs through reliable sources as approved by Wikipedia. We will use it to find reliable sources with which we can help contribute to and improve Wikipedia. https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=010426977372765398405:3xxsh-e1cp8&hl=en

We will also access https://en.m.wikipedia.org/ Since that's what the class is about.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Editing and contributing to Wikipedia involves searching for reliable sources, such as articles from newspapers, magazines, journals, and other forms of media. This requires the use of Google search, and even though the teacher will take every precaution, such as using a custom Google search engine to display only materials from the sources listed above, there is always the chance that Google may display or present mature or objectionable material which will then be immediately hidden from the student. This is a common issue with any search engine, and a challenge any time a search engine is used. The same challenge may sometimes occur using Wikipedia, as it is not censored. Again, all attempts will be made to ensure that students see no objectionable or mature material, but this is an inherent risk of using an uncensored platform, and by taking this class, both student and parent agree to accept the risk.
We will be combing through Wikipedia and occasionally using Google to find reliable sources to show how to expand an article. We will only be using Reliable sources as determined by Wikipedia and it's community, and while there are potentially limitless reliable sources, several examples would be, as outlined by Wikipedia, The New York Times, The Economist, The Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, for topic such as politics, whereas if we were looking into Video games, we would consult approved websites such as IGN, Kotaku, Famitsu, Game Informer, PlayStation Magazine, etc. Not all sources are allowed for all topics, and depending on what the student wishes to expand upon, they will and must become familiar with the Reliable Sources allowed for that topic so that their contributions will not be challenged or removed.
