This set of classes will focus on High Frequency Words (or Sight Words) such as "why" "we," and "way." Identifying these words are the first steps for developing reading skills. Students will be asked to blend sounds to make words, repeat sentences using these words, use movement to process shapes of letters, spell their names and be encouraged with...
Students will develop their foundational reading skills and be able to identify, spell and read High Functioning Words. By encoding and decoding words, struggling readers will solidify any previous knowledge and all students can be well-prepared for the next level of reading.
Samantha Fitschen is certified in Early Childhood/Elementary Education in the State of Pennsylvania (US) and a BS from Slippery Rock University. She has pursued her Masters as a Reading Specialist at The University of Pittsburgh. Teaching for over 30 years, Samantha is also a professional actor and obtained her Theater Degree from Roosevelt University in 1992.
