The Orton-Gillingham method is a multi-sensory approach to to teaching reading. It begins with simple sound symbol relationships then progresses to more complex concepts. Each lesson is presented to students using their visual, auditory, and kinesthetic pathways. This method is designed to specifically assist students with dyslexia. Students will learn to read CCVC and multi-syllable words and sight words with appropriate grade level fluency.

Reading sight words, previously taught word patterns, and decodable books daily for 5-10 minutes is essential to improving reading fluency.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
