Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
This is an early childhood music & storytime class in a print-rich and prop-filled environment. We will start with a welcome, we'll get to know each other, and learn each others' names while we take turns showing our dinosaurs to the class. Then we'll learn and sing a simple 'hello' song. Next, we will check in with our emotions using emotion cards, then I will introduce and read the dinosaur story which will include lots of dramatic play, singing, questions, predictions, and counting. This class will strengthen social/emotional development, reading comprehension skills, coordination, and large motor development. It will increase creativity and imagination and allow for self-expression. Music and reading improve and enhance language development and school readiness.
Class is taught by a caring, experienced preschool music and theater educator. With a bachelor's degree in theatre and vocal performance and over 25 years as a professional singer, actress, director, and teacher of all ages, I bring high energy, fun, and confidence to every class I teach, and take great care to attend to and acknowledge each child as a unique and valued individual.
