In this class, learners will develop creative writing skills and use Canva to publish and share their work.
Class Experience
US Grade 7 - 10
Learners will apply writing strategies to develop a creative writing portfolio that they will then use Canva to publish and share their work. In this course, we will cover English Language Arts academic standards as well as how to utilize Canva to create engaging multimedia content for publication. Students will apply writing strategies to chosen projects and prepare a portfolio of their work for publication using Canva.
I have many years of experience as a special education teacher, general education teacher, and virtual teacher. I have a master's degree in learning design and educational technology, and will graduate in May 2024 with a post-master's graduate certificate in Applied Educational Neuroscience. I'm also a published writer, having my work appear in multiple newspapers in my geographic area as well as ADDitude magazine.

Horror is a genre of literature loved by many. While every attempt will be made to keep discussions and readings age-appropriate, students will always have the option to opt out of a discussion or receive an alternate activity if and when subject matter is disturbing to them.
